Before TenderHands came to our village, I had to walk four hours to reach the nearest clinic. Now the community health worker comes to my home every month. During my last pregnancy, she identified a complication early and got me to the hospital in time. I believe she saved my life and my baby.
The COCOBA training changed everything for me. I went from being a village birth attendant with only traditional knowledge to a skilled community health worker who can recognize danger signs, provide basic emergency care, and connect families with the right health services. TenderHands did not just train me — they believed in me.
